There are 3 core components to Bateaux that make it great. The Blueprint page builder, the Customizer and the Post Settings. Most of your work will be done directly from the post/page editor or from the front end with the customizer. Creating with this theme feels very current.

Currently there are over 50 templates you can use to build sites very quickly. With 25 unique homepages and  18 portfolio templates and 12 single post templates, you can create just about any website in a jiffy. Simply add your own variations and your own content.

The admin panel is minimal and easy to navigate. There isn’t much clutter since most of the power comes from the customizer and the page builder. There is one nice feature that removes the need for a plugin – which is the maintenance mode. I always need to use maintenance mode when I am beginning to develop a site, so this removes the 5 or 10 minutes spent adding a plugin. This theme is full of time savers like this, such as the inline text editor.

The Blueprint page builder is fast and easy to use. It’s super lightweight, so you won’t have to deal with long loading times. You can visually create any design you want with drag and drop functionality. There is a live preview from the backend (page/post editor) as well. The recent update v1.1.0 integrated Blueprint with the post editor, so you can use it on single posts as well as pages.

Although the Visual Composer page builder is very powerful and awesome, I can see myself using the Blueprint page builder and being perfectly happy. This theme also enhances the WordPress customizer, giving you lots of design power there as well. The documentation is easy to follow, with step-by-step instructions for everything from getting started to more advanced features like custom CSS.
